En el Pla de les Serenes Sculpture by David Callau

The main pieces of the monumental group located in the port of Cambrils represent sirens, the Dolça i la Calma, observed by a young fisherman, Adrià, who represents the hopeful future. The work, inaugurated in 2011, is made of sheet metal, ceramic and stoneware and is the work of the local artist David Callau.

This sculptural group commemorates the victims of 1911, known as the “Year of Misfortunes” as many fishermen from the Catalan and Valencian coast died that year, several of them from Cambrils.

We found this place for coffee and food. Sant Salvador Cambrils. We have seen quite a few in and around Cambrils. Most days we have been walking from our apartment in Salou to Cambrils (Vilafortuny). We walk past this cafe on the beach and then on our way back stop for coffee or food. I have not tried the special offer of Vermut, Patatas and olives yet, all served up for 3 Euro 75 cents. We visited the one near the beach at Cambrils on Sunday, which also has amazing views.

When it comes to parking in Cambrils, it is essential to understand the colour-coded system used for different parking zones. Cambrils has four different parking zones, and each has a specific colour on the road. The colours are white, green, and blue, with the white zone being free, green for residents, and blue being pay and display. In this article, we will explore these different parking zones and where visitors can find free parking in Cambrils.

The first parking zone is the white zone, which is free of charge. This zone is reserved for visitors and tourists who want to park their vehicles for an extended period. However, it is essential to note that the white zone is limited, and visitors must find the designated areas on the outskirts of Cambrils.

The green zone is designated for residents’ parking only. Residents who have special permits can park in the green zone. Visitors who accidentally park in the green zone risk receiving a fine. Therefore, it is crucial to avoid parking in this zone.

The blue zone is designated for pay and display parking. Visitors can park in the blue zone for a maximum of four hours by purchasing a ticket from the vending machines located on the streets. The blue zone is ideal for visitors who plan on staying in Cambrils for an extended period.

Apart from these three parking zones, there are also several free parking areas located outside the city centre. These free parking areas are perfect for budget-conscious visitors who do not want to pay parking fees. Visitors can park their cars in the designated areas and take a bus or walk to the city centre. We walked, it was 10 minutes.

We parked in a white zone on the street to the right of Restaurant Del Mar a one-way street named Carra Luis de Gongora running away from the seafront. This seems to be the start of the white zones. Check though as zones seem to be changing quickly from what I have read.
