Stepping into Camping Sandaya Domaine Le Midi felt like stepping into a different world, one where the hustle and bustle of everyday life faded into the background. Nestled amidst nature’s wonders, this campsite is a haven for anyone craving a genuine escape. As a tourist, We found our stay here to be nothing short of magical. I suppose Noirmoutier-en-l’lle is an Island connected by a bridge, so it does feel disconnected in a good way. We never left the Island for 7 days.

Under the Canvas Camping Amidst Serenity

Setting up camp beneath the vast, star-studded sky was an experience unlike any other. The quietude of the night, broken only by the occasional rustle of leaves the distant call of an owl, or the crashing waves on the beach, created an ambience of peace that’s hard to find in the city. Our van became a cosy sanctuary, providing just enough comfort to make us feel at home in the wilderness. The camping pitch is very large and comes with electricity if you need it. We just used our solar panels on the van.

From the soft lapping of waves on the nearby beach to the silence in the air, every moment at Sandaya Domaine Le Midi was an adventure waiting to unfold. Days were spent hiking through scenic trails, beach walks and indulging in water sports.

Nestled in the picturesque southwest corner of the island, Barbâtre and its expansive pine forest are a sight to behold. The campsite, located at the water’s edge with its turquoise waves, serves as the perfect starting point for a captivating adventure. Follow the nature trails that wind between the vast ocean and the lush forest, immersing yourself in the delightful aroma of hollyhocks that line the alleys. And that’s not all – prepare for an exceptional experience as you set off on a unique stroll through the enchanting salt marshes. The island of mimosas eagerly unveils its treasures, inviting you to explore its wonders!
