Campsite Saint-Malo If you’re seeking a serene coastal getaway, look no further than Camping de la Cité d’Alet in Saint-Malo, France. Nestled along the picturesque Brittany coastline, this campsite offers the perfect blend of natural beauty, historical charm, and modern amenities, making it an ideal destination for travellers seeking a unique camping experience.

This was a 3-night stay before we caught the ferry back to Portsmouth England. We had plenty of space on our pitch. The lady at the check-in office told us to choose a spot. We chose one at the top of the site with sea views. It was not that busy near our pitch. The other pitches with electricity were a lot busier and closer together. Everything on site was good, the Showers were hot, there were plenty of sinks to wash the dishes, and the toilets were clean and tidy. A little shop with a few items. Supermarkets were about 15 minutes walk away.

Food vans visited the site each night. We had 2 x wood-fired pizzas the first evening. They were very nice.

Just outside the Campsite, a few minutes walk away. Standing proudly at the Rance River’s mouth in the Saint-Servan district, Solidor Tower, constructed in 1382, was designed to oversee the bustling city of Saint-Malo. This architectural marvel comprises three floors, adorned with three majestic round towers soaring 18 meters high. To ascend, one must conquer a spiral staircase of 104 steps.

A few minutes walk from the Campsite, History is on the doorstep. The Website of Ar-Zenith , was the first civilian ship to reach England after the call of June 18, 1940.
