This scenic route is more than just a walk; it’s an exploration of Croatia’s rich history, breathtaking landscapes, and the alluring charm of its coastal towns.
We caught the Bura Line boat from Split this morning for a 30-minute sail to Slatine. Embarking on the azure waters of the Adriatic Sea, The Bura Line offers a captivating voyage from the bustling port of Split to the serene coastal haven of Slatine and then on to Trogir. As you step aboard their elegant vessel, you are greeted by the gentle sway of the boat and the promise of an unforgettable maritime adventure. It was not too busy as the Tourist season is easing off now.

The azure waters of the Adriatic Sea accompany you, creating a serene backdrop for the leisurely walk.
As you amble along the coastline, be prepared to be captivated by the mesmerising views. The turquoise sea stretches endlessly before you, occasionally interrupted by secluded coves and pebble beaches. Take a moment to breathe in the fresh sea air and let the gentle sound of waves crashing against the rocks serenade your senses. As you walk and gaze into the clear waters you will see hundreds of fish swimming close to the shore.
One of the delights of this walk is the opportunity to stumble upon hidden gems tucked away along the route. Secluded fishing spots, charming beachside cafes, and centuries-old olive groves await your discovery. We stopped for a coffee at a beachside cafe.
As you approach Trogir, the landscape transforms, revealing the silhouette of ancient architecture against the vivid Mediterranean sky. Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a living museum. The town’s narrow alleys are adorned with intricate stone carvings, medieval fortresses, and Renaissance-era buildings. Visit the St. Lawrence Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, and wander around the buzzing Central Square, where vibrant markets and lively cafes create a lively atmosphere.
