Your paintings “Merula Bird” and “Purple Cup” have been selected Please can you deliver them to the Gallery on Saturday 11th or Sunday 12th January, between 10:30 am and 6 pm. This year they are holding their 19th Upfront Artists Open Exhibition. It’s a great place to go to buy art and have lunch.

The annual Upfront Open Exhibition celebrates its 19th year, showcasing a diverse array of artistic talent. Our esteemed panel of judges carefully selects around 100 works, encompassing both 2D and 3D pieces, reflecting a rich tapestry of media and styles.

This self-funded “Open Exhibition” derives its financial backbone from entry fees, enabling us to curate a vibrant showcase. These funds support the staging, advertising, and the delightful preview evening. Additionally, they facilitate the allocation of cash prizes, including the prestigious £1,000 First Prize, with other categories determined by our discerning judges, tailored to the entries received.

Indulge your palate at our coffee shop, serving a delectable vegetarian menu from 10.00 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Prepared fresh in our gallery kitchen, our chefs offer an array of daily salads and a tempting selection of sandwiches, toasted sandwiches, paninis, soups, quiches, baked potatoes, savoury pancakes, pasta, chilli, and lasagnas. Save room for dessert as we present delightful options like fruit crumbles and sticky toffee pudding.

Moreover, our menu caters to various dietary needs, including gluten-free options. Whether you dine in our main gallery, the charming conservatory, or the serene outside patio, we ensure a delightful culinary experience. Complete your meal with a choice of fine wines or beers, meticulously selected to complement your culinary journey.
