Steam Town Brew Co
Steam Town Brew Co, Eastleigh – Burgers, Beers and a Brilliant Saturday Night
A Craft Beer Haven in the Heart of Eastleigh

Saturday night rolled in, and I headed to Steam Town Brew Co on Bishopstoke Road. The pub had a lively atmosphere, with the smell of sizzling burgers and the sight of fresh beer on tap creating a welcoming environment.
Inside, the dining area features tables built from old train carriages, with seats arranged like booths. It provides a practical and distinctive setting for enjoying meals and drinks.
Steam Town isn’t just a pub. It also brews its own beer on-site, producing small-batch craft beers with a focus on flavour.
Burgers Worth Travelling For
Let’s talk food. Because my meal was an event.
The K.F.C – A Feast With Fire

I went for THE K.F.C. (Korean Fried Chicken). A crispy-coated chicken breast drizzled in their own Gochujang sauce. It came piled high with a tangy kimchi slaw and sprinkled with black onion seeds. Every bite is hit with sweet heat and crunch.
And the house seasoned fries? Let’s just say I could have eaten a second portion without shame.
The Loaded Carriage – A Monster of a Meal

My friend took on the LOADED CARRIAGE. Double 3oz smashed beef patties. American cheese is melting down the sides. Pulled pork stacked on top. Then, cheese sauce and crispy bacon bits are just casually thrown in for good measure.
As if that wasn’t enough, they added cheesy fries on the side. Fries are smothered in more cheese sauce and a smoked hickory dusting. It was the sort of plate that makes you question your life choices… but in the best possible way.
A Brewery That’s Growing Fast

While I was there, I learned a bit about what goes on behind the scenes. Steam Town runs a 6BBL brewery, and it’s already outgrowing its space. The team works across a taproom and a burger bar, which explains why the food and beer feel designed to be best mates.
Back in 2021, they became finalists in the SIBA Business Awards for the UK’s Best Independent Craft Brewery Taproom. After visiting, I know why.
The place has two floors of warm, welcoming space where you can sip beers right next to where they’re born. They brew everything from classic cask ales to rich, bourbon barrel-aged imperial stouts. Every pint has personality. And every corner of the taproom has charm.
Become a Beer Knight – Brewery Tours

If you want something different for a night out, they run Beer Knight Brewery Tours on the last Tuesday of each month. You can book online or call 023 8235 9139.
For £50, you get a tutored beer tasting, a full brewery tour, and a burger meal. It all starts at 7 p.m. It’s basically the holy trinity of happiness. Website Link Steam Town Brew Co
The Alliterates – Live at Steam Town

The Alliterates performed at Steam Town on Saturday, bringing their Hampshire-based function band style to the venue. They played a mix of indie rock hits from the 1990s and 2000s, covering well-known songs as well as some one-hit wonders. Their set provided a lively soundtrack to the evening, complementing the brewery’s food and beer offerings.
Upcoming events at Steam Town include Shanty Sessions on Monday, 8th December, The Swingin’ Baubles on Sunday, 14th December, and Christmas Carols with Otterbourne Brass on Monday, 15th December.
Final Thoughts

Steam Town Brew Co isn’t just a place for a pint. It’s a night out that delivers flavour, fun and a friendly atmosphere. Whether you go for the beer, the burgers, or both (which you should), you’ll leave happy. And probably full. Very full.
The live music, like The Alliterates on Saturday, adds an extra layer of entertainment, making it more than just a meal or a drink – it’s a proper night out.
If you’re anywhere near Eastleigh, put this spot on your list. Then go hungry.
