Sitges Vintage Car Rally 2025: A Glorious Ride Back in Time

Every April (Saturday the 6th 2025 this year), the roads from Barcelona to Sitges roar to life — not with speed, but with style. The Sitges Vintage Car Rally (Rally Internacional de Coches de Época Barcelona–Sitges) is a dazzling celebration of motoring history, where polished brass and gleaming chrome steal the spotlight.

Pre-1920s Vintage Veicheles

I was there this year, camera in hand, soaking in every nostalgic moment. Watching these magnificent pre-1920s vintage cars roll out of Barcelona was like stepping into a film set from another era. Drivers and passengers were dressed to match their machines — flapper dresses, bow ties, feathers, and fedoras everywhere. It’s not just a rally; it’s a moving museum with a touch of theatrical flair.

The route along the stunning Mediterranean coast to Sitges is a feast for the eyes. The cars glide past sunlit sea views, winding roads, and cheering crowds waving them along. I found myself darting between vantage points, trying to capture the perfect shot — the glint of sunlight on a century-old bonnet, the puff of exhaust from a classic Rolls-Royce, the proud smile of a driver in period costume.

As the convoy arrived in Sitges, the atmosphere turned festive. Locals and tourists lined the streets, applauding as these timeless beauties completed their journey. There’s something magical about seeing such craftsmanship still alive — engines humming softly after more than a hundred years of life.

If you love history, photography, or simply a good reason to smile, mark April 2026 in your calendar. The Sitges Vintage Car Rally is more than an event — it’s a celebration of heritage, elegance, and the joy of the open road.

Join the fun and visit Sitges, Spain, during your next holiday.
