Independent Ceramics Market

15th February 2026

Independent Ceramics Market is an open submission event, with preference given to applicants who are actively creating new works or are taking new, experimental approaches in their practice. We aspire to find the right balance of new and returning exhibitors, while prioritising emerging and underrepresented ceramic artists. Our ceramics market receives widespread support from both local and national press, frequently recommended as London’s go-to destination for discovering the new clay wave of ceramic artists.

Super Seconds Festival

7th – 8th March 2026

Super Seconds Festival is an online sale held twice a year, bringing together over 250 independent makers from across the UK (and beyond!) to sell samples, misprints and end-of-line stock at hugely-reduced prices.

Super Seconds Festival runs twice a year (in March and October). During each Festival weekend, there will be a wide range of goods on offer – from prints, pins, ceramics, t-shirts, jewellery, cards, printed fabric goodies and loads more!


You get to shop directly with makers to get up to 75% off handmade goods.

We are very happy to announce that the York Ceramics Fair 2026 will again be hosted at the iconic York Racecourse. This bright and open venue ensures ease of access and on-site parking for guests.

The Craft Potters Association always curates a strong lineup, and this year’s fair will once again offer a thoughtfully balanced mix of emerging talent and established artists, delighting a discerning audience with exceptional work. Alongside the main exhibition, enjoy an engaging programme of talks and demonstrations that enrich the experience.

The event is selected and run by and for the makers, and we aim to provide an unpretentious and affordable platform that nonetheless showcases only the finest makers working in clay today. No commission is taken on sales, and this is a chance to buy directly from the maker and support the sector.

To ensure a comfortable visit, tickets are issued for entry either before or after 1 pm, with unlimited time to explore once inside.

Under-16s enter free but still require a ticket.

The Hepworth Wakefield Ceramics Fair

The Hepworth Wakefield Ceramics Fair returns in March 2026 and brings together work by around 70 ceramic artists and potters working across the UK. You’ll find contemporary or traditional ceramics, homeware, sculptural pieces and jewellery – with all sales supporting independent artists and makers.

The weekend will also feature family activities, street food, curator-led events and discounted exhibition entry.

Sheffield Ceramics Festival has been showcasing the work of potters and ceramic artists from the Sheffield area and beyond. We are now looking forward to welcoming you to our 12th show. In 2021, we began showing at our now regular venue, the exhibition hall at the wonderful Kelham Island Industrial Museum in Sheffield. Our thanks are due to the very helpful and supportive staff at the museum.

Potfest South East – Glynde Place is set in parkland immediately in front of a grand Elizabethan country house on the doorstep of the South Downs. The show is within easy access by road and rail from Brighton, Eastbourne and Lewes.

Over 90 makers have been selected to showcase a wide and diverse range of work that is guaranteed to delight and inspire. Discover functional and decorative ceramics to suit all tastes and budgets, and buy direct from the maker.

Live pottery demonstrations each day, along with raku firings throughout the weekend.

No art hype, no gallery glitz, just potters and public mixing in a down-to-earth setting. Held under cover to save us from the inclement Cumbrian weather at Skirsgill Auction Mart, Penrith.

We are glad to see the return of our ever-popular, free throwing lessons, hand building workshops and demonstrations over the three days of the show – we hope you’ll roll your sleeves up and have a go!

Potfest Scotland. This is our 29th year in Scotland and our 14th year at Scone – the home of the Stone of Destiny.

Under large marquees across the Palace lawns, meet the 90 studio ceramics artists taking part. Wander Scone’s grounds, gardens and pinetum. Talk to the makers, discover what fuels their passion for clay and buy direct. Make a full day of your visit and soak up all things clay at this Scottish celebration of ceramics.

Now in its sixth year, this flagship event promises to be a highlight of the international ceramics calendar 2026.

Potfest by the Lake – Compton Verney will showcase outstanding ceramic artists under a number of large, open-sided marquees on immaculate lawns, overlooking the stunning lake.

Compton Verney is a historic house and well-established, award-winning, arts venue set in 120 acres of stunning Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown parkland. Located just fifteen minutes from both Stratford upon Avon and Royal Leamington Spa, and less than 30 minutes’ drive from Coventry, Potfest by the Lake – Compton Verney is an exciting opportunity to visit an artisan ceramics market, showcasing the work of 90 of the UK’s finest ceramics makers.

Part of the organising team includes the curator of the ceramics section of Art in Action for 26 years, who has a real passion for ceramics and wanted to keep the festival ethos of Art In Action at the heart of Celebrating Ceramics.

The original Potfest flagship event showcases the very best work from 90 selected artists, chosen from throughout the UK, Europe and beyond.

Potfest in the Park, all with very distinctive, individual styles. Set in the magnificent backdrop of Hutton-in-the-Forest on the edge of the beautiful Lake District National Park.

Potfest in the Park takes place under large marquees on parkland in front of this magnificent country house. The potters’ special competition pieces are displayed on the lawns in front of the house, juxtaposing ancient architecture and modern ceramics.

As well as hosting Potfest in the Park, Hutton-in-the-Forest is a cultural destination in itself. With its historic house, walled garden, topiary terraces and woodland walks it makes a great day out.

This year’s Exeter Potters’ Market will again take place in the Transit Shed on Exeter Quay.

This is a great annual WPA tradition featuring a wide selection of members displaying and selling their work.

Building on the success of Potfest Scotland over the past few years, Potfest is pleased to announce a new show for 2026

Potfest Scotland – Potfest in the City (Glasgow) will be an unselected show, offering a new opportunity for those up-and-coming artists to exhibit their work alongside the more established Potfest regulars.

The show will be hosted by WASPS in their Brigait venue, the old fish markets.

Less than 15 minutes walk from Glasgow Central Station, less than 20 minutes from Queen Street Station and just an 10 minute walk from St Enoch Subway.

Over 70 artists are selling their work on the run-up to Christmas
